MEET THE FOUNDER

Fiona Galloway

Founder of Nourished Space

FOR THE PERSON WHO EXCELS UNDER LOAD

— and is ready to stop
living from survival.

Fiona Galloway has spent more than 25 years working at the intersection of breath, body, emotional wellbeing, yoga, somatic awareness, and nervous system conditioning.

She has sat with people in moments of real transition: when the body has had enough, when the old way stops working, and when something deeper than mindset, motivation, or willpower is required.

Her work is for people who are capable, driven, and often carrying far more than others can see.

People who know how to function under pressure, hold it all together, and keep moving — but are beginning to recognise that functioning is not the same as being well.

Fiona founded Nourished Space in 2016 from a belief that has shaped every part of her work:

Sustainable change does not come from forcing yourself to be different.

It comes from understanding the patterns that shaped you, meeting the body with precision, and building the physiological capacity to respond differently over time.

Not in the mind first.

In the body.

In the breath.

In the repeated practice of coming back to yourself

THE STORY BEHIND NOURISHED SPACE

Fiona flew to New York to learn how to cook.
What she actually learned was how to feel again.

For a long time, nourishment had been barely on her landscape.

She knew how to keep going. How to function. How to hold everything together while something inside her was quietly asking her to stop.

From the outside, she looked capable.

Inside, she had gone somewhere very far away from herself.

After divorce. Grief. Loss. And the slow dismantling of a life she once recognised.

That is what survival can look like.

Capable on the outside.

Hollow on the inside.

So practised at functioning that you stop noticing the difference.

In a plant-based cooking school in New York City, something began to shift.

She had told herself she was there to learn about food. But some quieter, wiser part of her knew the truth.

She needed to learn how to receive again.

Standing in that kitchen, smelling herbs with actual presence, choosing ingredients slowly, feeling the weight of something in her hands, she noticed something she had not felt in a long time.

She was here.

Not managing.

Not performing.

Not getting through.

Just here.

And something she did not even know was braced inside her began to soften.

From there, the journey unfolded through yoga, breathwork, nervous system work, emotional healing, nature, embodiment, and the slow practice of returning.

Because we cannot think our way back to ourselves.

We have to feel our way back.

Nourished Space was born from every version of Fiona that walked that path.

The one who survived.

The one who broke open.

The one who felt lost.

The one who searched anyway.

And the one who slowly learned how to feel safe again.
THE PHILOSOPHY

Nourishment is not only about food. It is about what we allow ourselves to receive.

Human wellbeing functions like an ecosystem. It is shaped by how we breathe, move, rest, recover, connect, nourish ourselves, relate to pressure, and return after stress.

When one part of the system is repeatedly depleted, the whole system begins to tighten.

Nourished Space works with that ecosystem, not against it.

The goal is not to become better at enduring suffering.

The goal is to become more connected, more resourced, and more internally organised — so the patterns that once protected you are no longer the patterns that define you.

Returning to yourself does not mean going back to who you were before.

Some versions of you were built for survival.

Honour them.

Understand them.

Thank them for what they carried.

They are part of you.

But they do not have to lead the rest of your life.

The self you are returning to was always there, waiting quietly beneath the survival.

Nothing ever goes away until it has taught us what we need to know.

HOW FIONA WORKS

The body is not separate from the work.

It is where the work begins.

Fiona’s approach brings together breath science, somatic awareness, nervous system education, emotional integration, and applied practice.

This is not about performing calm.

It is about building capacity.

The capacity to notice.

The capacity to pause.

The capacity to feel without being flooded.

The capacity to meet pressure without abandoning yourself.

The capacity to change not just what you understand, but what your body has learned to expect.

    THE METHOD

Fiona's work includes:

  • Breath science and somatic awareness
  • Somatic tracking and interoception
  •  Nervous system regulation and capacity conditioning
  •  Emotional integration and pattern mapping
  • Pattern recognition through the body, breath, behaviour, and relationships

  •  Real-time application under real pressure

    THE RELATIONSHIP
  • Working with Fiona is direct, honest, and deeply present.
  • There is no performance required.

  • No pressure to be fixed.

  • No expectation that you arrive already regulated, clear, or together.

What is required is willingness.

A willingness to listen differently.

To meet yourself more honestly.

To understand the intelligence beneath your patterns.

To build the kind of internal capacity that changes how you live, relate, work, lead, and recover.

THE WORK OF RETURNING

You do not need to push harder.
You do not need to become someone else.

You do not need another performance strategy.

You need a way to understand the patterns that have been running beneath the surface — and the physiological capacity to change them.

This is the work of Nourished Space.

A return to the body.

A return to breath.

A return to self.

A return to the part of you that was never broken, only adapting.

Nourished Space is still growing.

Still becoming.

And so is Fiona.

If you recognise yourself in this, maybe it is time to come home too.

The next step is a conversation.
